Abstract

Carpal canal pressure was measured in 20 patients with idiopathic carpal tunnel syndrome and in 8 cases control group in the neutral position, 90 degree palmar flexion and 90 degree dorsal flexion of the wrist. The mean pressure in the patients with idiopathic carpal tunnel syndrome was very significantly higher than the control subjects, the pressure was highest in 90 degree of wrist dorsiflexion.

Özet

İdiopatik karpal tünel sendromlu 20 olguda ve 8 olguluk kontrol grubunda karpal tünel basıncı nötral, 90 derece palmar fleksiyon ve 90 derece dorsal fleksiyonda ölçüldü. Karpal tünel sendromlu olgularda karpal basıncı kontrol grubuna göre her üç pozisyonda da anlamlı derecede yüksek bulundu. (p<0.0001). En fazla basınç artışı her iki grupta da 90° dorsal fleksiyonda saptandı.
