Abstract

In this study, 28 multiply injured adults were evaluated by \"Modified Injury Severity Scale\" (MISS). Average MISS score was 28 ±10.5 (10-50). There was no mortality in 19 patient with MISS score 25 or less. The mortality and complications were 22.2% and 44.4% in 9 of the patients with MISS score than 25 respectively. The MISS score in mortality was 38 and 41. \"Modified Injury Severity Scale\" was found a practical tool to assess the severity of multiple injuries objectively and to provide facility in retrospective researchs and also to guide to take measures to decrease the mortality rate.
