A case of false aneurysm of the profunda femoris artery caused by an excessively long screw used to fix a CHS-plate to the neck of the femur is presented. The aneurysm did not become symptomatic until 20 days after insertion of the screw if painful pulsating mass appears in the upper part of the thigh after an operation about the hip in which drills ond screw were used, one should suspect a false aneurysm.

Kliniğimizde tedavi edilen bir fernur boyun kırığı olgusunda ortaya çıkan arteria femoralis profundanın yalancı anevrizması takdim edilmektedir. Çok nadir görülen bu komplikasyon kliniğimizde ilk defa gözlenmiş ve hastaya gerekli tedavi yapılarak şifa ile sonuçlanmıştır.
