876 cases who had operative treatment for the poliomyelitis paralysis in our clinic, between 1960-1970 are studied. Distribution of these operations into years showed that, there is relation between the number of the operation and the incidence of poliomyelitis. Ages of the patients showed that younger age groups were in, majority. 535 cases (% 61,1) first decade, 302 cases (% 34,5) second decade, 36 (%4,1) third decade. It is interesting to see that 860 of these 876 cases (%98,2) Operations were performed on the lower extremity, only 16 (% 1,8) on the upper extremity. Kliniğimizde, çocuk felci sekeli nedeni ile ameliyat edilen 876 vak ada saptadığımız bulgular bildirilmiştir. 376 vak anın ameliyat olduğu senelere göre ayırımı, bazı senelerde çocuk felci infeksiyonu hecmelerine benzer artışlar göstermiştir. 876 vak anın ameliyat olduğu yaş dekatlarına göre ayırımı, 535 (% 61,1) vak ada 1. dekat. 302 (%34,5) vak ada 2. dekat, 36 (%4,1) vak ada 3. dekat ve 3 (% 0,3) vak ada daha geç dekatlar olarak belirmiştir. 876 vak adan 860 (% 98,2) tanesinde alt ekstremite ameliyatı yapılması yanında ancak 16 (%0 1,8) üst ekstremite ameliyatına rastlaması dikkat çekicidir. Bu durum, ameliyat endikasyonlarının üst ekstremiteye nazaran alt ekstremitele daha sıklıkla konması nedeni ile açıklanabilir. Çalışmada 876 vak ada yapılan 1350 ameliyatın sınıflanması ve ayrıca taraf ve cinsiyete göre ayrılmaları, grafik ve tablolar halinde gösterilmiştir.
