Abstract
Between 1987 and 1990, 47 knees in 35 patients had undergone kinematic condyler posterior cruciate retaining total knee arthroplasty. 29 knee in which tibial and femoral components were placed properly and in 5° to 10° of valgus comprised group 1. 18 knee in which these criteria were not met comprised group 2. The patients were evaluated according to the criteria recommended by the Knee Society The average follow-up. was 13. 8 months (14. 2 months in group 1, 13. 4 months in group 2). it is concluded that. despite better results in group 1 , component alignement is effective on the early results only to a certain degree. Alignement of the components can increase the success rates only to same degree unless there is a significant malalignement of the components.

Aralık 1987 ile Kasım 1990 tarihleri arasında istanbul Üniversitesi istanbul Tıp Fakültesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Anabilim Dalı nda 35 hastanın 47 dizine kinematik kondiler arka çapraz bağ korumalı endoprotezle total diz artroplastisi uygulanmıştır. Femoral ve tibial komponentlerin uygun olarak yerleştirildiği ve 5°- 10° valgus açısının elde edildiği 29 diz (1. grup) ile bu kriterlere uymayan 18 diz (2. grup) iki ayrı grupta incelenmiştir. Ortalama izleme süresinin 13. 8 ay (1. grup 14. 2 ay, 2. grup 13. 4 ay) olduğu hastalar Diz Cemiyeti nin önerdiği kriterlere göre değerlendirilmişlerdir. Bu kriterlere göre başarı oranı 1. gruptaki hastalarda 2. gruptakilere göre daha iyi bulunmasına rağmen, total diz artroplastisinde komponentlerin yerleşim pozisyonunun kısa süreli sonuçlar üzerinde kısmen etkili olduğunu ve eğer aşırı bir yerleşim hatası yoksa, protez yerleşim pozisyonunun başarı oranını ancak belirli ölçülerde yükseltebildiğini göstermiştir.
