11 years retrospective analysis of bone and soft tissue tumors

420 bone and soft tissue tumors were detected in 162.764 patients, examined at the Orthopaedic Department of Gülhane Military Medical Academy between 1981-1991. Primary malign bone and soft tissue tumors were seen in 126 cases while 270 patients had benign bone tumors. Only 24 metastatic bone tumors were scrutinized. Osteochondroma was the most common one (62%) and the chondroblastoma was the least one (0.4%). On the other side, 42% of all malign and soft tissue tumors were osteosarcoma. Malign hemangioendothelioma of the bone was seen only at 08% in all of them.

1981-1991 yılları arasında Gülhane Askeri Tıp Akademisi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Anabilim Dalı na başvuran 162.764 hastanın yapılan muayenesinde 420 kemik ve yumuşak doku tümörüne rastlanılmıştır. Bunların 126 tanesi primer malign, 270 tanesi benign ve 24 ü ise metastatik kemik tümörü olarak belirlenmiştir. Benign tümörler içinde osteokondroma en sık (%62) görülür iken kondroblastomaya en az (%10.4) rastlanmıştır. Öte yandan osteosarkoma malign kemik ve yumuşak doku tümörleri içinde ilk sırayı almıştır. (%42). Kemiğin malign hemangioendothelioması ise %0.8 oranında en az görülmüştür. Akciğer, meme, böbrek ve prostat maligniteleri sırası ile kemiğe metastas yapmışlardır.
